With students and teachers returning back to schools in September, DTC’s diary is starting to fill up.

Artistic Director Ryan Philpott and producer Mel Philpott are currently completing an application for Arts Council England funding for an exciting new theatre project, as ‘Oliver Twist 2021’ is officially announced.

So, further to our last post, we are now two months into lockdown with no idea when we can hope to be coming out of this situation...

DTC Artistic Director Ryan Philpott has recently been commissioned by Gravesham Borough Council to write a new play ‘Dickens’ Dream’ to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Charles Dickens’ death.

We are currently in rehearsals for this year’s tour of ‘A Christmas Carol’.

After the success of our Arts Council England funded Macbeth project earlier in 2019, we decided to take the show on the road around the UK.

In late May 2019 we received the exciting confirmation that our Arts Council England funding had been approved for our Macbeth outreach project.

In April 2019 the DTC were excited to announce new partnerships with Basildon’s Towngate Theatre, South Essex College and St Margaret’s House & more!

In February 2019 the DTC unveiled their 2019/2020 Season with a brand-new adaptation of Macbeth and a revival of their 2018 production of A Christmas Carol.
