Education & Passion For The Arts

dtc

Education today can be seen to prioritise the academic subjects & exclude so many young people from creativity. The decline of the arts in schools concerns all of us with a passion for drama, music & art. Yet so many vital skills can be gained through encouraging a love of performance. Learning social & emotional skills through the arts promote curiosity, confidence & positive communication from an early age.

At DTC we strive to excite & engage our modern audiences, hopefully inspiring the next generation of storytellers & theatregoers.

Dickens was a novelist whilst Shakespeare a dramatist, but both were genius storytellers. Colourful characters, intricate plotting, wit, comedy, tragedy, pathos. Thematically dark or light. Their audiences were mesmerised. At DTC we pick the words up off of the page & bring these incredible stories back to life, igniting that same passion in the 21st century. We encourage our audiences to be interactive, to question, to think & to be inspired.

Since 2019 we have built up a considerable network of UK school partners.
